International Internship
Shuang-Lian Pears Corp. (双连梨有限公司)

As part of the Language and International Business program at Clemson University, I completed my international internship as a student intern with Shuang-Lian Pears Corporation, a small fruit-selling enterprise connected through Chung Yuan Christian University during my time abroad. Founded in 2016, the company specializes in producing and distributing pears, grapes, oranges, and starfruit. Its mission extends beyond commerce, working to support local farmers by providing 10% of the market value upfront for their products while eliminating the need for a middle agent. Additionally, a portion of the company’s profits is donated to Shuang-Lian Elementary School (雙連國小) to support rural education initiatives.

​Working primarily from the university’s business building, I created digital advertisements to promote the company’s brand and increase clientele, analyzed workflow processes, and developed recommendations to enhance operational efficiency. I also traveled to the company’s headquarters in Miaoli for a weekend work trip, where I observed production and distribution firsthand and gained valuable insight into the company’s operations and approach to supporting local communities.
